Maureen Murdock's Heroine's Journey diagram (1990) has been a wonderful model to experience and 'Queer' in my quest to understand what a diverse, authentic and inclusive meaning making model could look like. It is my hope this model will disrupt Campbell's misogynist, exclusionary model (1949) that still dominates Western storytelling and meaning making today.
What started as a loop or cycle, turned into ripples (VoiceLab), and is currently a venn diagram which identifies traits I can draw on in my Video Essay discussions.
The next experiment will be based on my beloved tree roots which look suspiciously like our brain :D
Speaking of brains, when responding to NeuroTypical people who dismiss NeuroDiversity - I often rely on analogical comparison of hive design between Australian native bees and Honey bees to help them understand that diversity in brain architecture is possible. I love the diversity and I love Australian native bees hives.
