Kairos at The Barn, Rosny Farm: 28 July–20 August 2023!

I love this venue!

I am so excited to have the amazing Barn at Rosny Farm all to myself for my first solo show in almost a decade! :D

I arrived in Hobart for Easter 2022 and this symbolism or kairos did figure into my decision making because I was seeking a kind of re-birth or re-emergence through re-location to my refugia. I consequently visited all the art venues and attended numerous openings in and around Hobart and was dazzled by the wealth of talent and basked in the warmth of the community. The Barn is such a stunning venue and I feel very grateful.

The title and theme of the show will re-present my journey of re-discovery through my art practice. Over the past few years I have faced a range of emotional and physical challenges with climate change acting as a catalyst in the form of catastrophic flooding of my home in Queensland at the start of 2022.

This show will be a mix of old and new work - never seen together in one space.

These photos are the first step to my design and planning for the exhibition and there are a mix of installs etc. Photos are by me, Rebecca Ramage and others from the Clarence arts and events website.

I hope you can join me for the opening on Sunday 30 July at 1pm :D
